THINGS TO NOTE: Yooper Rocks are able to be found as soon as the ice and snow melt along Lake Superior in the spring, this time varies every year, but usually by April we can start getting onto the shorelines. We will look for Yooper Rocks into late fall until the snow builds up on the shorelines and covers the rocks, usually late October and early November our last rocking picking is being done.
Things you may want/need on this adventure: Watershoes, rubber boots, camera, snacks, bottle of water, and whatever else you think you'll enjoy having.
I look forward to having you on the Yooper Rock Picking Tour soon. -- Yooper Steve

Hi, I am Yooper Steve, I know how to get around the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan better than anyone. I grew up in Marquette and moved to the Copper Country during high school. Since childhood I have explored the forests and waters of the Upper Peninsula. I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, teaching survival skills, cross county skiing, snowshoeing, and off road adventuring. My Top 3 areas to explore and relax are the Keweenaw peninsula, Porcupine Mtns, and the Huron Mountains. I like many other places in the U.P. but these areas have many adventures with less crowds for extreme solitude.
