About the Full Day Yooper Wannabe Tour

All Ages : Popular
Tour available in Marquette/Munising/Houghton/Copper Harbor/L'Anse/Ontonagon/Ironwood

The Yooper Wannabe Tour is a sightseeing tour that is geared toward the visitor who has seen little the UP has to offer. The tour is for all physical abilities and ages. This is your chance to sit back and relax and not worry about the directions or the little details, you're on vacation and it should be that way. You'll have a lot more fun learning about the area from a local than browsing through brochures, plugging directions into Google Maps, or trying to remember places to visit from the local server at the last restaurant you ate at. You'll wanna be a Yooper after this tour, most people do. This adventure is a light adventure, we will visit as many places we can, you will see and do more on this tour than you will by trying to do it yourself. You can use your other days to take an adventure to some more locations which we share with you. This tour may hit beaches, big views, waterfalls, and historic areas. Bring your swimsuits just in case you want to take a dip in Lake Superior or at a swimming hole below a waterfall.
BONUS: During berry season mid July to early August we sometimes pick berries along the way.

Times of departure: Daily: 10am (hours may change as daylight changes) - this tour runs from spring snow melt to late fall

Cost: $335 1-2person, $110ea additional person

THINGS TO NOTE: Most people are able to take part in this adventure. This hike may have some rocky, steep, or slippery areas. Footwear that has a really good grippy bottom like hiking footwear is highly recommended, it makes it a lot easier and safer for you to have the proper footwear. It is always nice to bring some watershoes or rubber boots with you should you decide to get your feet into the water.

Things you may want/need on this adventure: Hiking footwear, Water, Snacks, Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Bug spray, camera, and whatever else you think you'll enjoy having.

I look forward to having you on the Yooper Wannabe Tour soon. -- Yooper Steve

About Me

Your Adventure Guide

Hi, I am Yooper Steve, I know how to get around the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan better than anyone. I grew up in Marquette and moved to the Copper Country during high school. Since childhood I have explored the forests and waters of the Upper Peninsula. I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, teaching survival skills, cross county skiing, snowshoeing, and off road adventuring. My Top 3 areas to explore and relax are the Keweenaw peninsula, Porcupine Mtns, and the Huron Mountains. I like many other places in the U.P. but these areas have many adventures with less crowds for extreme solitude.
